I made up MONSTAs drawing on my maths books at school in 1976, and refined them through my university days. Through the 80's they spread through New Zealand on T shirts, a daily cartoon strip, children's televsion and books, and then the rest of the  world through the Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race during the 90's, and the America's Cup, ending up as  team mascot for Prada's Luna Rossa challenge for the the  America's Cup in Valencia in 2007.
