Whitbread Round the World Race
During the Auckland stopover of the 1989/90 Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race I drew a series of cartoons of each boat's arrival in my Auckland Star MONSTA cartoon strip
I was appointed official cartoonist for the 93/94 edition of the race, and followed the fleet around the world sending cartoons by satellite to TVNZ, and to Whitbread by fax!
For the 1997/98 race, I was Swedish Match's official cartoonist, and followed them from port to port, scanning and emailing my hand drawn cartoons back to Stockholm.
